State Patrol Investigating fatal crash on Serfass RD.

Chippewa Township – On Tuesday, March 12, 2024 at approximately 5:06pm. the Wooster Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol was called to the scene of a severe injury traffic crash on Serfass Road (Township Road 94) in Chippewa Township of Wayne County.


The on-scene investigation revealed that a white and red 1986 Honda TRX-250R four-wheeler was southbound on Serfass Road, when it went off the left side of the roadway and struck a guard rail. 


The driver of the TRX-250R, Garrett Carraway, 25 years old, of Doylestown, was

pronounced deceased at the scene. Mr. Carraway was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. 

 

At this time, the crash remains under investigation. It does not appear that drugs or alcohol are contributing factors to the crash. 


The Ohio State Highway Patrol was assisted on scene by Doylestown Police Department, Wayne County Sheriff’s Office, Chippewa Township Fire/EMS, and the Wayne County Coroner’s Office.
