Olivesburg Ohio - The Olivesburg General Store is the oldest store in Ohio so far in records in the state of Ohio, and was built back in 1840, The front part of the main building floor still remains the same as it was as the day it was built back then. Today was the regrand opening / Ribbon Cutting Ceremony today after they had closed down for a few weeks for a remodeling and renovations. And that all included a new dinning space, concrete stamped flooring, and a brand new ground-level restroom. The actual regrand opening took place on Saturday, as hundred's of people showed up to check out the new look of the renovations, and plus check out some of the vender's that were there later in the evening handing out samples and explaining about their products, and let some people tasting some of them that they could. Today on Monday 3/4/2024 the Ashland Area Chamber of Commerce stopped in and presented the Olivesburg General Store a certificate, and did the ribbon cutting along with Aaron and Tia Sponslor, and their daughter and staff member family, and area guest and chamber members..
The Sponslor's have own the store now for six years, as the store is 184 years old, and they love it and they make everyone feel very welcome as they welcome everyone as they walk into the store. Plus they ask the people to sign their guest book that is located in the mid hallway, Tina said;" The furthest guest I had seen on the guest book was from was Japan."
