Multiple Fire Agencies Responded to a structure fire in Jeromesville, The owner got out safely. 4-6-24

Jeromesville - Roughly around 4:45 pm. Jeromesville Fire Department and EMS, Hayesville Fire Department, Ashland City Fire Department, New Pittsburgh Fire Department, Wooster Township Fire Department, and Ashland County Sheriff's Department all responded to the 300 block of Ashland County Road 30A just east of Jeromesville of a reported fully engulfed structure fire. Upon the firefighter's arrival, heavy smoke and flames were coming from the structure, "The homeowner managed to make it out safely and there were no animals inside the residence at the time of the fire; said Chief Elliott.

It was a team effort by all departments, and they worked together as they managed to knock out the fire quickly. Ashland County Road 30a was closed to local traffic to emergency traffic only, as they had the roadway blocked with their vehicles, and temporary water tanks set up. Ashland County Sheriff's Department did provide traffic control. The American Red Cross was called to assist the homeowner, and also Ohio Edison and Columbia Gas were called to the scene as well to assist.
