Multiple Agencies Responded to an Early Morning Structure Fire near Lattasburg, Ohio

PRESS RELEASE

DATE: 3-9-24


TYPE OF FIRE: Residential Fire

ADDRESS: 11,000 block of Lattasburg Road


Time of call: 04:31


Upon Arrival: First unit on scene found structure fully involved. Roof collapsing into second floor.

Defensive attack was started house collapsed into basement. Excavator was brought to scene to remove

metal roofing and debris. Fire was extinguished.


Fire remains under investigations: No one was home at time of fire. No civilian or firefighter injuries.

Assisting at the scene were: Town and Country fire, Polk Fire, Wooster Twp. Fire, Mt. Eaton Fire, Wayne

County Sheriff Dept, ODOT, Holmes-Wayne Electric.


A total of 48 firefighters and 14 pieces of fire apparatus were on scene.

Used approximately 37,000 gallons of water.


Equipment returned to station at: 9:53AM


Red Cross will be assisting family.
