Hayesville Fire Department Accepts Donation from Hayesville Amvets Post # 1969 For New Rescue Tools.

Hayesville - A representative from Hayesville Amvest Post #1969 came to the Hayesville Fire Department to give a donation of $4,000.00 for some Genesis Rescue System Tools that they need on emergency calls either it would be on fire's or accident calls. Luke Ricketts is a full time Firefighter, Paramedic, Instructor, and Inspector as well as the North East

Ohio Factory Representative of Genesis Rescue Systems. He grew up in a firehouse, spending time there

with his Dad and then as a volunteer until leaving for a part-time, and later, a full-time position. In his

efforts to continue to sharpen his life saving skillset he began in-depth training for vehicle extrication.

Now, Luke provides first-rate extrication training and works to broaden the skillsets of as many fellow

firefighters as he can. He also teaches vehicle extrication courses to the next generation of firefighters at

local colleges and universities.
