Car Versus Amish Buggy

Milton Twp. Roughly around 9:03 AM Ashland Fire Department and EMS, and Ashland County Sheriff's Office responded to State Route 96 and Township Road 1253 of a car versus Amish buggy crash. The preliminary report that a Black Amish buggy driven by an Amish Juvenile, of Ashland, Ohio that was traveling westbound on State Route 96, had traveled left of center and struck a 2011 Black Ford Focus driven by Skylynn Rose, (19), of Ashland, Ohio that was traveling eastbound on State Route 96 on the left front end. The Amish buggy continued and traveled off the left side of the roadway into a ditch just past of township road 1253. The horse was deceased from its injuries at the scene.


Ms. Yoder was cited for going Left of Center.

There were only minor injuries, all the passenger in the car were using their seatbelts, and the Amish were treated and released at the scene.

One lane was maintained until the wreckage and debris, and the deceased animal could be removed from the scene.

Other agencies assisted at the scene were: Auer's Towing.
