Ashland County Sheriff K-9 Deputy Dani Retires Today, and becomes a family pet.

Ashland, Ohio - Today was a happy, but sad day as the Ashland County Sheriff's Office got to say goodbye, and say "Happy Retirement to their fellow K-9 officer Dani with his handler Deputy Curtis Hall by his side. K-9 Dani has been by Deputy Curtis Hall's side for six years, and now K-9 Dani is nine years old. So it is now official that Dani enjoys his time off, and to be a happy dog, and just relaxes at home also being with family and not chasing bad people. Dani is from the Czech Republic, and the Ashland County Sheriff's Department got Dani from the Mansfield Police Department cause they said he was not trainable or just not working out for them. But once they got K-9 Dani they noticed how well Dani responded to the training here, and how well he responded to Curtis Hall as his handler.

Deputy Hall and K-9 Dani were awarded for the Perrysville Incident and numerous awards. So K-9 Dani got to do one last task as an officer at the Sheriff's Office, and for those in attendance to do one more drug indication and was awarded by everyone with a tennis ball as a signal of "Good Boy." And also Dani was given his official metal engraved water bowl with his name on it, and also his badge. And also Curtis was given a certificate of receipt that made Dani officially and legally his family pet, and not a county-working dog anymore, also plus a certificate showing K-9 Dani was officially retired.
