A Family of Four Displaced by Fire.

Lucas- Roughly around 10:12 AM Monroe Township-Lucas Fire Department and EMS responded to the 100 block of W. Main Street in Lucas of a structure fire this morning. Mutual aid was provided by: the Mansfield City Fire Department, Washington Township Fire Department, Madison Fire Department, EMS, Mifflin Fire Department ( Richland County), and Mifflin Township ( Ashland County). The American Red Cross assisted on the scene by bringing food and drinks for the firefighters and also assisting the fire victims with housing as their home was a total loss. 1-800-Board-up also assisted on the scene with snacks, and water, and also assisted the fire victims with gift cards for clothing, gas cards, and so on. The cause of the fire is undetermined and is being investigated by the Ohio State Fire Marshals Office out of Columbus, Ohio. Monroe Township also assisted with traffic control, and also Richland County Sheriff's Department responded to the scene. TONY ORENDER for THE MANSFIELD NEWS-JOURNAL.COM
